The Domestic Violence Resource Service (Mackay & Region) often relies on community generosity to help provide emergency relief and support to those affected by domestic and family violence.
You can also make a secure one-off or regular donation to DVRS Mackay & Region through GiveNow — DVRS Mackay.
Donating items
Due to having limited storage space at the centre, we are usually only able to accept donations of smaller items. There are particular items that are always in demand. These items include:
- nappies (especially larger sizes)
- infant formula
- women’s toiletries
- sanitary items
We do occasionally work with families who may be in need of larger items, so if you have larger items to donate please contact us first to learn more about what items are in demand at that time.
We also use GIVIT – the national non-profit organisation that connects donations with those in need – we often post there when we are assisting a person or family who have specific needs.
