Women's Liaison

WOMEN’S LIAISON

The Domestic Violence Resource Service (Mackay & Region) employs a Women’s Liaison Officer whose role is to work closely with external government organisations — such as the Queensland Police Service — advocating on behalf of women.

The main responsibility of the Women’s Liaison Officer is to deliver a collaborative counselling response in conjunction with Queensland Police Service and other stakeholders in the Mackay Police District working with families most at risk, across a range of related social issues, including domestic and family violence.
